David Hasselhoff has never been a stranger to charities, helping kids for several decades and has put in countless hours, even co-founding the Race for Life charity and actively supporting the Make A Wish Foundation. Continuing in his charity work, he has recently made a huge donation to a children's hospice service. The former Baywatch star, who is now a judge on Britain's Got Talent, was prompted to help the cause by the TV show's warm-up comedian, who is planning a charity bike ride.Hasselhoff was so impressed by funnyman Ian Royce's dedication to raising cash for Shooting Star Chase - which supports the families of seriously ill children - that he made a donation. He also agreed to sponsor Royce's 55-mile (88.5-kilometre) fundraising race from London to Brighton, on the U.K.'s south coast, later this month (Jun11).Royce took to his blog on Twitter.com to tell fans, "David Hasselhoff has made a huge donation to my kids hospice and my bike ride for it! Go have a look and make a donation why your (sic) at it!!!... thank you David Hasselhoff for your amazing donation."If you would like to donate, visit their website, Shooting Star Chase Children's Hospice.
