David Hasselhoff Visits Manchester City

David Hasselhoff was guest of honor at the Etihad Stadium for Manchester City’s New Year’s Day clash with Stoke City, where the team ending up winning.Celebrating the New Year in style, David was pictured with Gaël Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta, Yaya Touré, Javi García, Joe Hart, James Milner, Costel Pantilimon, Sergio Agüero, Carlos Tévez and Richard Wright, and others.David was originally given a shirt with his name misspelled, which he cheerfully wore throughout the game before one with the correct spelling was printed in time for the post-match celebrations.David said on City's official TV channel, "I wish them well, it's a lovely stadium and the people are great. I love the fact that that the teams and towns are so loyal and passionate about their players, it's quite different from America. They [Manchester City] were gracious enough to give me a box on my day off and I said, 'I'd want nothing better than to go to a Man City game, see them win, enjoy myself, meet the players and say hi.'" For the New Years Eve celebration in Germany, David has stepped in to sing for Bonnie Tyler who had to cancel because of an illness.After midnight, Hasselhoff will sing a vocal duet with the British tenor Paul Potts. Those who can not personally be at the Brandenburg Gate can watch the event from 23 clock on ZDF.
