David Hasselhoff Gives Ed McMahon Health Update

Entertainment Tonight

I used to watch Ed McMahon on Star Search as a kid all the time, and I hope he pulls through his cancer. Best wishes and prayers go out to him and his family.

David Hasselhoff recently visited good friend Ed McMahon, who is battling systemic bone cancer, and he gives ET an update on the health of the former "Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson" sidekick."He's doing well," says David. "I was honored and moved that he asked for me, and so I went to see him.""Ed McMahon's a marine, and he's a fighter," continues the former "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider" star. "He's probably one of the kindest, coolest, neatest guys ever who's raised millions of dollars for charity. Millions, and absolutely never gives up."It was back at the end of February that ET learned Ed was battling the disease and had also been treated for pneumonia at a Los Angeles area hospital intensive care unit. Ed's publicist, Howard Bragman, subsequently told us that the 86-year-old star is "confronting it head-on with strength, courage and dignity."
