David Hasselhoff has signed up to lead a fleet of multi-million pound supercars down The Mound in Edinburgh to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Gumball 3000 rally.He will make his grand entrance into the Scottish capital, leading the world's most exclusive cars as they take part in the seven-day race set across two continents.The star-studded race is set to draw crowds of people to Edinburgh to watch the spectacular line-up of cars which will have travelled from Florida to Atlanta and New York before crossing the Atlantic in a fleet of private jets and cargo planes.Racers will arrive on The Mound on June 8 and locals are expecting the event to be a hit with the public. They will then drive on to London, Paris and Barcelona before finishing in Ibiza.The Batmobile from the Dark Knight movies also joined the line-up last year.Leading the racers back to Edinburgh this year will be former Knight Rider and Baywatch star David Hasselhoff. City festivals and events champion Councillor Steve Cardownie has told how the rally promises to be a very exciting spectator event.He said: 'This day out is bound to prove popular with motorsport fans and interested spectators alike."Good luck to everyone taking part and enjoy yourselves."
