They said it was 7,500 calories and I said, ‘Well I’m working out, so I could use it,’” the 61-year-old said, adding that if he did eat the burger, the legend of “The Hoff” would be too much for the artery clogger.“It would probably kill the burger,” Hasselhoff said. But the flashy lights at the Epic Burgers and Waffles booth were still off Thursday as health officials probed an outbreak of food-borne illness at the CNE, so Hasselhoff walked past the home of the cronut burger and settled for some Dutch frites instead.Later, just before he rode the zipline with CNE president Brian Ashton, Hasselhoff said he was thankful he didn’t try the gut-busting cronut burger.“I’m kind of glad I didn’t have it because I just had some spicy french fries, and I’m afraid I may not make it down the zipline,” he said as he put on his helmet.Ashton went down the zipline beside Hasselhoff and had a few laughs with the star before they took off.“This is absolutely crazy, I’m going on the zipline with Knight Rider,” Ashton said, referring to Hasselhoff’s hit TV show from the ’80s.----You can buy tickets to ride the zip line at the CNE site, and don't forget to check out this video of David zip lining!
