Actor David Hasselhoff has taken time out from performing to enjoy a night at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.The Baywatch and Knight Rider star met musicians from The Royal Regiment of Scotland before the show on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle.The actor, known as The Hoff, also surprised members of the audience when he went to meet them in one of the stands. He was attending the performance with his partner Hayley Roberts.He is in the city for his Fringe show An Evening With David Hasselhoff Live, on at the Pleasance Courtyard.Tickets have sold out for the Tattoo, now in its 63rd year.This year's event features around 1,000 pipers, drummers and other musicians and is celebrating 60 years of the Queen's reign with a Diamond Jubilee theme.Military bands from countries including Australia, Switzerland, Norway, Canada and the US are performing during a three-week run which ends on Saturday.Organisers said all 215,100 available show tickets have been snapped up, generating £8.4 million at the box office.
